Hey all,
Anyone up to get in some mileage pre-holidays and while the fall foliage is hopefully still in tact?

Meeting at Grand Central:
- Just go and grab a place on the train and we will find each other. Last time we did this, we didn't get on the train early enough and were crowded out by other cyclists (the nerve).
- Metro North asks that you store your bike in the middle area of a train car.
- Train leaves at 8:09am, so please arrive by 7:45am.
- Train ride to Brewster is ~1.5 hours.

Ride Highlights:
- 🏰 Make a pit stop at Hearthstone Castle.
- ⛲ Have lunch in the beloved hiking town of Kent, CT.
- ⛰ Pass through bits of NY's Taconic Mtns and the Litchfield Hills of CT.
- 📍 End the ride on the Empire State Trail.
- Elevation: This route is 4,100 ft total elevation gain, and it's distributed pretty well - no singular monster climbs. Looks like there is one 500 ft climb, though...
- Temperature: Forecast says temp will be ~50 degrees- so please dress warm-ish and in layers.
- Lights: In case we don't make it to the train station before sunset, please bring bike lights!
- Fare: Train is $15.25 each way from Grand Central - Brewster, NY (via the 'Harlem' line to Southeast or Wassaic).
- Planning: Please note this ride will take up most of your day!

Hey Stefano - great! The ride is a loop, so the plan is to take the train to and from Brewster, NY. This is the Metro North's 'Southeast' line.
There are other train stations in the area, as well.

Also i should correct myself: the actual metro north line is called the 'Harlem Line' but the destination will be called either Southeast, or maybe Wassaic, on the monitors.
