Join OutCycling for C4C as over 500 riders cycle from Boston to NYC over three amazing days. It is one of those experiences that will be with you the rest of your life.
We have set up a Training Team on the OutCycling site HERE. Riders can use this group to coordinate training rides and fundraising. We can also create an official OutCycling Team on the Cycle for the Cause website if YOU would like.
The Ride itself is about 275 miles from near Boston to downtown NYC. The route travels through Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York over mostly low traffic roads and trails past some beautiful scenery. The ride is fully supported with fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 15 miles, SAG vehicles along the way so you are never alone, and comfy hotels each night. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also provided. Essentially, you just have to pedal.
The Center provides free bus transportation for you and shipping your bike from NYC (and a location in NJ) to get to Boston the night before the ride.

Cycle for the Cause (The Northeast AIDS Ride) began 25 years ago to raise funds for The NYC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Center’s AIDS/HIV prevention, education, counseling and support programs. These programs are invaluable in preventing the spread of HIV and assisting HIV+ individuals.
For every $250 we raise, The Center can provide a person with a comprehensive needs assessment and referral services. For every $600 we raise, The Center can provide a young person with substance use recovery services for one month. For every $1,000 we raise, The Center can provide one person with help accessing PrEP (daily pill that can block the transmission of HIV), PEP (pill taken after being potentially exposed to HIV to help prevent infection), and other prevention methods.
The Fundraising: There is a $95 registration fee and $3,000 fundraising minimum ($2,000 for riders under 25 years old.) There are also opportunities to participate as a crew member.
