Come check out peak color on the Fall Foliage Weekend in The Berkshires. On Friday, we'll take the train from Grand Central to Wassaic, and following a picnic lunch in Millerton, we'll ride to Great Barrington in the heart of the Berkshires.
Great Barrington is a charming home base with excellent options for dinner and sightseeing. We'll explore other towns in the area as well, like Stockbridge, Lenox, Alford and Sheffield. On Saturday, choose between two different routes (40 or 60 miles), both with plenty of leaf peeping and country vistas. Sunday, after breakfast at your leisure, we'll ride back to Wassaic for the trip home.
We haven't been able to secure a block of rooms at a discount, but you can book on your own at hotels in town. It seems that hotels are filling up fast for that weekend, so please RSVP on this page to join the trip and book a room ASAP. A non-exhaustive list of available options is here. RSVP fee covers Bag Transport to and from the Wassaic train station, lunch on Friday and limited vehicle support throughout the weekend.

There will be bag transport from the Wassaic Station to hotels on Friday and back on Sunday. We will probably also arrange a bag drop off in the city option on Thursday evening and transport up to hotels on Friday and then back on Sunday.

Can you send me the map of the route(s)? My brother-in-law wants to help me train and said knowing the route helps. Even last year's route would suffice. Thanks!

You'll find last year's routes in the Outcycling route library on the Ride with GPS web site. Go to https://ridewithgps.com/organizations/331-outcycling/routes?name=Foli, and then search "Foliage" in the name box, and you'll find the routes. They are best downloaded to a bike computer as there are bugs in the software, and there are a few random incorrect cues that don't show up on a bike computer but you might hear them if you're just listening to the cues.
