And if you haven't done that already, then it's too late - registration has maxed out.
There are 10, 25 and 40 mile versions of the ride. However, only the 25 mile version is happening on Sunday. It is a supported ride with an organized start (as all the versions were in years past). Other versions are unsuported and the routes won't even be released until AFTER Sunday.
As mentioned, but worth repeating - registration has sold out for the 25 mile version of the ride.
It's pretty clear the 10 and 40 mile riders do not get free t-shirts like they did in the past. It's unclear whether 25 mile riders will get free t-shirts.
All in all this year's TdB seems a lot less organized. Not quite sure what to make of that.

Hey! I could use people's help with something…
TdB this year is a bit scaled back. Only the 25 mile option is "supported". There will also be a 40 mile and 10 mile option. (I'm hoping the 40 mile version lets riders go through Woodlawn Cemetery since that was the big highlight in the past (the one day a year you're allowed to go through the cemetery, which is spectacular).
Anyway, they're only allowing 1,000 registrations this year. So we're going to have to compete to be allowed to ride. They're opening registrations in "early October". But Dan and I are going to Madrid the first part of October. So if you can monitor the following page and report (via a messsage here) that registration is open, that would be a HUGE help!!
