STS 0 is intended for new or current members who want to assess their speed so that they know whether to do the short or long rides.
This ride involves going around Central Park Loop four times while timing yourself. The loop is six miles, so if you go around twice in one hour then your speed is approximately 12 mph. We strongly advise that you go around four times so that your speed approximation will be reasonably accurate for long rides. We offer these guidelines...
If your speed is 10 – 12 mph, then you are an Easy Rider and you should do the short routes.
If your speed is 12 – 14 mph, then you are a Steady Eddie or Edith and you should do the short routes in the first weeks and possibly the long routes later in the season.
If your speed is above 14 mph, then you are an Speed Freak and you should do the long routes.
If you are less than 10mph, then we have an Introduction to Road Biking program which is better suited for you.

Hi Mateo, no problem at all, You can bring into the apartment a wheel or two, the seat, your biking gear, and any bags that you have.
