Join this 7 day, 6 night self-guided Bike Tour of the Puglia, the garden of Southern Italy. The dates are Sept. 2 - 9, 2024.
OutCycling is planning A and B level routes for each day with different mileage accordingly. Puglia is known for its gentle and scenic riding, but there are short shallow hills too.
A-Group: 50 — 60 miles per day. 16 — 20 mph
B-Group: 30 — 40 miles per day. 12 — 15 mph.
E-bikes welcome
This trip cost covers hotels, breakfasts, routes, and baggage transport. Please note, as a self-guided trip there will be no guides or SAG vehicles on the roads while riding. So, while you will be riding with your group, you need to be comfortable navigating using RidewithGPS and to be able to fix flats on your own if need be.
- Cost: $1,900 pp. before May 15th. $2,100 After. Single or double rooms available
- Bike rental: $250 - $350/week depending on bike
- 12 spots total; $450 deposit to hold your spot

Experience Puglia like a Pugliese
Our six days of riding will take us from Matera with its 9000-year-old canyon caves, to Alberobello and Trulli where you'll pedal through groves of olive trees and fragrant herb gardens. Be prepared to post lots of pictures as you ride past the storybook conical trulli homes. Keep your phone camera handy as you enter the white-walled town called Ostuni. Breathe in the Adriatic and taste the famous orchetti and freshly-made mozzarella. You'll need those carbs as you cross the ciclovia on the ancient aqueduct. Before you pedal your way through Martina Franca — please don't forget to sample the local capocollo with a glass of Primitivo. Finally, you'll be on your way to Polignano a Mare, the seaside town you will fall in love with — or fall in love with someone there.
