If you are into riding and want to help by scouting and reporting any issues on the routes - this would be appreciated!
Meet at an agreed convenient location typically near Times Square, and assemble swag, to distribute to kick off party at 5 pm - 7:30 pm. Thursday June 6th
Retrieve swag items from our predetermined location, typically near Times Square and deliver to the kick-off party. Can use your own car, or Uber. NYC Kick-off party location TBD.
Distribute swag bags and jerseys at the Pride Ride kick off party. NYC location TBD.
You have a vehicle, with a bike rack (or we can lend you one if you need) or capacity to carry bikes and people... this role is stationed at rest stops and helps retrieve anyone with a serious problem on the route to bring them where they can be supported. Not medical emergencies - those are handled by 911.
This is a group of OutCycling leadership team members who have expressed an interest in helping Pride Ride Director manage the ride.
Arrive at the start location on ride day between 6am and 7am (as needed) and help unload the supply truck, set up food tables, put up tents, check-in riders, serve breakfast. Approx. 4 hours.
Help load trucks for rest stop on the day before the Pride Ride.
Arrive at the start location at 6-10am, set up swag bags, food tables, check-in riders and send them off on their journey. Approx. 4-5 hours.
Looking for 2-4 Marshalls supporting and guiding the 60-80 mile riders - Must be at start location 8:00 AM. Must have exceptional navigating and cycling skills and be able to support the riders during any emergency.
Arrive at the festival area between 12 and 1pm as needed, set up and serve food to hungry riders and cheer them on as they return from their long ride. Approx. 4-6 hours.
Arrive towards the end of the long day and help break down tents, clean up food and festival area, reload supply trucks. Approx. 2 hours.
You will be assigned to one of our rest stops to help set up food, tables and tents. Distribute food and drink to riders. Approx. 3-6 hours, depending on how much time you can offer. Car transport will be available, but if you have your own car, even better!
You will help return all items to those who loaned them to us and store all remaining items in the locker
